The Visual Content Producer (Photography & Videography) plays a pivotal role in advancing the College’s communications, marketing, and storytelling efforts through dynamic multimedia content. This creative professional is responsible for capturing high-quality photography and videography that authentically represents the College’s people, programs, and mission. The role includes producing engaging visual content for web and social media platforms, managing the College’s digital asset archive, and collaborating across departments to deliver compelling visual narratives. Ideal candidates will bring a strong eye for detail, technical expertise in multimedia production, and a passion for storytelling that would elevate the College’s brand and outreach.
Essential Functions:
Capture high-quality photography and videography for College events, marketing campaigns, and digital platforms.
Edit and produce multimedia content for print, web, and social media channels, ensuring brand consistency.
Manage and maintain photo/video archives, ensuring assets are properly tagged, cataloged, and accessible.
Develop short‑form visual content optimized for social media platforms (e.g., reels, stories).
Education/Skills Requirements Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills and experience in communications, media production, film, or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects).
Preferred:
FAA Drone Certification; experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
Experience Requirements 3‑5 years experience in a related field required. Preferred experience in higher education, journalism or communications is desirable.
Edit and assemble photos and video footage into compelling visual stories for use across digital platforms, including the website and social media.
Work closely with communications, marketing, and other departments to develop visual content that supports strategic initiatives and campaigns.
Organize, maintain, and curate the College’s digital media archive to ensure easy access and long‑term preservation of visual assets.
Tailor content for specific platforms (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, website) to maximize engagement and reach.
Use visual storytelling to highlight the College’s distinctive people, programs, and values, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and tone.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Operate and maintain photography and videography equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio gear, and editing software.
Contribute to the creative vision of campaigns and projects, offering ideas and solutions that enhance visual impact.
Provide on‑site coverage of key College events, ensuring timely and professional documentation.
Flexibility to cover evening and weekend events as needed.
