Banquet Houseperson Supervisor The Houseperson Supervisor is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating, and delivering guests’ needs. The ideal candidate comprehends all meeting room sets and ensures rooms are set according to guest specifications.

Hourly Rate $32.43 per hour

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day operations and consistently inspect all events to ensure standards are being maintained.

Perform all necessary tasks for banquet setup according to the standard operating procedure of the hotel.

Ensure prompt delivery and quality of equipment from point of departure to arrival.

Responsible to set all meeting rooms or contracted hotel space to ensure high-quality meeting sets.

Ensures compliance with all health, safety, sanitation awareness, hotel standards, and local laws.

Responsible for the supervision, upkeep, safety and cleanliness in storage areas, hallways, corridors, and storerooms.

Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others; advocates sound financial and business decision making.

Conduct and attend all required department trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

Hands‑on food and beverage knowledge and a comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business.

A minimum of relevant houseman experience in a large convention hotel is strongly preferred.

Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high‑profile events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Highly developed customer service skills; possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem‑solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Candidate must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.

Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service.
