Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Addiction Counselor role located in Greater Cleveland. The Addiction Counselor will facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, assess client needs, and develop customized treatment plans. The role includes monitoring client progress, providing resources for recovery, maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care. Counselors will also support clients throughout their recovery journey by fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
Experience in counseling, individual and group therapy, and addiction recovery support
Proficiency in treatment planning, client assessments, and case management
Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of addiction treatment methods, mental health disorders, and evidence‑based practices
Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment
Relevant certifications or licensure (e.g., LCDC, LPC, or equivalent) required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
Experience with outpatient care in substance use treatment settings is a plus
