Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator and classroom teacher is responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job descriptions.

Salary Range: $26.43 - $30.09 Paraeducator A per 2025-26 Public School Employees Salary Schedule

Special Duties: Provide support for Career and Technical Education (CTE) program at Valley View Middle School. Responsibilities include assisting in the Family and Consumer Science Department with shopping, purchasing and stocking materials, organizing lab and prep/tear down. Also includes lunch supervision and other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

Shift: Monday through Thursday, 8:30-2:00 p.m. and Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Paid Hours: 5 hours per day

Lunch Break: 30 minutes, unpaid break

Calendar: 9 months/year

Qualifications

Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:

Have received a score of 455 on the ETS ParaPro (https://www.ets.org/parapro), or a qualifying score on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessment or Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program;

Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or

Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university.

Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.

Upon hire, willingness to obtain a Food Handler's Permit.

Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
