Position Summary:
Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Deputy Logistics Section Chief to assist with the oversight and coordination of all support functions during incident response. This position supports the Logistics Section Chief in providing necessary services and resources including ordering, facilities, transportation, supplies, equipment maintenance and fuel, food service, communications, and medical support for incident personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with managing all logistical support functions for incident personnel
Support the ordering and distribution of resources and supplies
Coordinate the provision of transportation, food, communications, and medical services
Assist with facilities and infrastructure required for operational support
Ensure effective maintenance and fueling of equipment
Track and report resource utilization and logistics activities
Collaborate with other sections and stakeholders to ensure mission alignment
Contribute to planning meetings and the development of logistical strategies
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of work experience in a logistics or support coordination role
Familiarity with incident logistics and resource management systems
Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
Ability to operate effectively under pressure in dynamic environments
Understanding of ICS and emergency response frameworks
Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting federally declared disasters or complex emergency responses
Advanced ICS certification (ICS-300/400)
Proficiency with logistics tracking systems and software tools
Other Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship Required: Yes
Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)
Relocation Assistance: Not applicable
Clearance Required: None
Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment
Working Environment:
Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), field environments, or remote coordination centers. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
