As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will be an Appian technical leader within our Federal Customer Success team and an advisor to Appian's clients. You will become an expert in installing, operating, and scaling the Appian platform, as well as scaling business process applications on our software. The ideal candidate will combine technical, product, and business skills to ensure customer success.
This role is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Appian values in-person collaboration as a key to our culture and mission. Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer interaction (verbal, written, face-to-face) Systems administration experience with Linux, Windows, and IaaS solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Experience with on-premise Appian environments is a plus. Administration of RDMS platforms such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, etc. Programming or scripting skills in Java, JavaScript, BASH, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP, etc. Knowledge of Kubernetes is highly desirable. Basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, IT, or related field 3-5 years of experience as an IT systems administrator managing hosts, databases, and cloud services Top Secret security clearance US Citizenship, with ability to maintain security clearance CompTIA Security+ certification (required before or shortly after onboarding) Tools and Resources Training and development opportunities, including onboarding, mentorship, and continuous learning programs Growth opportunities through leadership programs, Appian University, skills training, and tuition reimbursement Inclusive community with employee-led affinity groups fostering social, educational, and outreach activities About Appian Appian is a software company that automates business processes using the AI-Powered Process Platform.
