DESCRIPTION:
Duties:
Design, develop, and implement software solutions that directly impact JPMC engineering workforce. Solve business problems through innovation, continuous learning, and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Analyze requirements, incorporate architectural standards into application design specifications, document application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop or enhance software application modules. Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take an active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and data flows. Work closely with cross-functional teams including UX partners, product managers, and other engineering teams. Participate in Scrum Agile development to ensure on-time and quality delivery of software. Contribute to code development, platform design, and architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability. Continually pursue self-learning on industry trends and technology to ensure continuous improvement of our technology and platform. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Java Developer, or related role. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in the same fields plus five (5) years of relevant experience. Skills Required:
Experience with developing Java applications (including object-oriented design and J2EE), Web applications using JavaScript (React), HTML, CSS, Agile methodologies, Jenkins for CI/CD, Spring and Spring Boot, software testing, data modeling, microservice architecture, REST and GraphQL APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, NodeJS, Hibernate, SQL, Oracle database design, infrastructure management, Splunk, Linux, and shell scripting.
