RESPONSIBILITIES About Us The Queen's Health Systems is the oldest and largest healthcare system in Hawaii. Founded in 1859 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, Queen’s has a long-standing reputation for excellence in specialty care across the islands. Queen’s has been leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) system powered by Epic since 2006. CARE*Link, as the EHR is known at Queen’s, is a system that requires regular maintenance and upgrades, including add-on modules to improve performance and provide increased utility for end-users and patients through the patient portal. The demand for a qualified IT Analyst to join the CARE*Link team has increased with the system's growth and expansion. We are seeking an analyst to join our team. The Opportunity As an Information Technology (IT) Analyst, you will play a critical role in building, assessing, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning CARE*Link. You will become an expert on Queen’s existing build and modules in use. Participate in projects to implement new modules and technologies within CARE*Link and across The Queen's Health Systems. You will work with a highly interconnected team of analysts to ensure end-users have the tools needed for effective medical decision-making, leading to better patient outcomes and safety. What You Will Work On Analyze, build, test, and support go-live for new functionalities Participate in operational user group meetings to discuss CARE*Link optimization Provide 24/7 on-call assistance to end-users (rotation) Participate in projects to implement new tools, modules, and technologies I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Support complex, high-risk applications and systems within assigned areas. Provide technical expertise and oversight for moderate to high complexity information systems. Guide procedures and best practices, set priorities, and define technical directions. Supervise and direct the work of assigned staff. Lead short- and long-term information system planning in the area. Ensure project activities meet deadlines and coordinate with PMO for system implementation. II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Continuous: seeing, speaking, repetitive arm/hand motions, sitting, static gripping. Frequent: standing, walking, finger dexterity, hearing. Occasional: stooping/bending, carrying up to 12 pounds, reaching above shoulder level. III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work environment is generally not adverse. Support may be required 24/7 as part of the job. IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; or four years of relevant IT experience substituting education. Must complete and maintain certifications in assigned applications. Minimum six years of experience in the specific IT area. Two years of IT project management experience preferred.
