Senior Merchandising Manager (DTC)

to join our Merchandising team! JOB SUMMARY The Senior Merchandising Manager (DTC) is responsible for developing and communicating merchandise strategies to their respective merchant team to meet or exceed sales, margin and turn targets. This individual will guide buyers and planners through the development of merchandise strategies and assortment plans to maintain the integrity of financial goals, product strategies and customer focus. area). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop and communicate strategic product vision and goals, with a customer and marketplace perspective, to respective cross-functional partners. Provide guidance to buyers to ensure merchandise strategies and assortment plans meet brand objectives and align with customer and DTC channel needs. Partner with DTC leadership team to develop and communicate the merchandise strategy, as well as sales and margin goals for each DTC channel and marketplace. Provide strategic product vision and merchandise processes for new and evolving marketplaces. Collaborate with DTC planning throughout the planning process to provide business specific insights and findings. Review and approve advertising and price/promotion strategies with buying teams and merchants that align with brand targets and goals. Stay current on product and market trends. Build a high-quality merchandising team by developing partnerships, leading, coaching and providing constructive feedback. Lead initiatives to instill best practices and develop support infrastructure. Facilitate a team environment. Taking calculated risks to achieve results. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 5-7 years of experience in merchandising, with a background in buying. Bachelor’s degree in merchandising or a related field. Effectively manages a large scope of responsibility to achieve financial targets based on a sound knowledge of merchandising concepts. Ability to think conceptually and strategically. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships. Ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships. Ability to prioritize and manage against multiple competing priorities. Fosters a strong team environment and works effectively with leadership. Adapts to shifting circumstances in a business environment. Exhibits ethics, fairness and values-based decisions.
