Working primarily in .NET on Amazon Web Services components, you can have a tangible impact on thousands of end users that use our products. This position is located in Arlington, VA, and is in-office Monday - Thursday with work from home on Friday. Responsibilities Build large, distributed, API-driven systems for tens of thousands of users Produce robust, efficient, and maintainable code; primary tools include C#, .NET Framework, JSON, SQL Server, and AWS Drive and lead software design, development standards, and code reviews Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices to strengthen CoStar’s platform Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college Proven commitment to previous employers Experience building and launching successful data-driven platforms at scale for millions of users 5+ years of deep .NET (C#) development experience, including Web API and cross-platform communication 3+ years of database design, T-SQL programming, and performance tuning Strong object-oriented design skills and familiarity with software design patterns Deliver high-quality, defect-free, performant work products Experience with application performance testing and unit testing strategies Excellent skills in large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure applications Solid understanding of HTTP concepts Preferred Qualifications and Skills Ability to facilitate discussions and build consensus among developers Experience with .NET Core Willingness to mentor other developers Knowledge of NPM and NuGet AWS or Azure cloud experience What’s in it for You?
