Are you a tax professional with a strong background in corporate tax? We're hiring a
Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Specialist
to join a high-performing tax team in a hybrid role based in
Chicago, IL . As a
Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Specialist , you'll support strategic tax initiatives related to acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and investments. You'll collaborate with senior tax leadership, finance, and legal teams to assess risks, ensure compliance, and identify planning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
The
Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Specialist
will lead due diligence and integration activities for M&A transactions. Provide support for ASC 740 income tax reporting and financial disclosures. Research domestic and international tax law changes and advise on implications. Develop and improve processes to ensure compliance and capture tax efficiencies. Partner with cross-functional teams to support tax planning and risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum 6 years of corporate income tax experience. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and analyze complex data. Experience with M&A is required. Strong communication skills across all levels of leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years in public accounting. Experience interpreting federal and international tax laws. Ability to adapt quickly and take on new responsibilities.
