Adjunct Instructor, American Sign Language, UC Blue Ash College Job Overview Part-time adjunct faculty must be able to teach first- and second-year American Sign Language and culture courses. Depending on need and adjunct availability, an adjunct could teach a minimum of 3 credit hours up to a maximum of 9 credit hours in a semester.
Essential Functions On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.
Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Education Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience One (1) year of previous teaching experience
Additional Qualifications Considered National Interpreter Certification, Certified Deaf Interpreter or ASLTA Certification.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree specifically in Deaf Studies, ASL, Deaf/Special Education, Second Language Instruction, Interpreting, or another related specialization.
Teaching experience specifically at the college level.
