Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience);
5–7 years of relevant experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT infrastructure role in a medium to large enterprise environment;
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, SharePoint) and Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD;
Experience with Conditional Access and Identity Protection, Active Directory & Group Policy Management;
Knowledge of Windows Server 2019 or newer, PowerShell scripting for automation and administration;
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, and firewall configuration (Cisco preferred);
Experience with endpoint security and patch management tools;
Strong working knowledge of virtualization technology (VMWare/Hyper‑V);
Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities;
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment;
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams;
Must be customer-focused with excellent communication skills with end users and team members;
Independent and team-oriented, thriving in high‑volume, dynamic settings;
Primarily office‑based; occasional travel and after‑hours/weekend support may be required;

The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the organization’s on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This role requires a seasoned professional with 5–7 years of experience in enterprise environments managing hybrid Microsoft ecosystems, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity frameworks. The successful candidate will ensure system reliability, data integrity, and operational efficiency while supporting agency users and critical business applications.
The duties of the IT Systems Administrator shall include, but are not limited to the following:
Manage and maintain Windows Server 2019 and newer environments, including file, print, DNS, DHCP, and group policy administration;
Perform system patching, updates, and performance monitoring to ensure maximum up time;
May implement, monitor, and document backup and disaster recovery processes;
Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Security & Compliance Center;
Manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint compliance enforcement;
Configure and monitor Conditional Access policies, identity protection, and MFA through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD);
Support hybrid identity synchronization and lifecycle management between on‑premises AD and Azure AD;
Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 Cisco network switches, routers, and firewalls;
Maintain and monitor LAN/WAN connectivity, VLANs, VPN tunnels, and QoS configurations;
Support secure wireless and remote connectivity solutions;
Assist in network design, documentation, and capacity planning;
Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices aligned with CJIS, IRS Pub 1075, or other regulatory frameworks;
Monitor system logs, alerts, and SIEM dashboards for security anomalies and incidents;
Manage endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and remediation processes;
Participate in incident response, security audits, and policy development;
Provide advanced technical support and escalation for IT service requests;
Develop and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and configuration baselines;
Train peer IT staff and serve as a subject matter expert in assigned domains.
