Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Credit Analyst, focusing on the midstream energy sector. T This role requires strong financial modeling skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to provide actionable insights to support investment and lending decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment:
Perform in-depth credit reviews of midstream energy companies, including financial statement analysis, covenant compliance, and liquidity assessments.
Evaluate business models, capital structures, and operational risks specific to midstream assets.
Financial Modeling:
Build and maintain detailed financial models to forecast cash flows, leverage ratios, and debt service capacity.
Stress-test scenarios based on commodity price fluctuations, regulatory changes, and market conditions.
Industry & Market Research:
Monitor macroeconomic trends, regulatory developments, and commodity markets impacting midstream energy.
Track pipeline utilization, tariff structures, and contract profiles to assess revenue stability.
Reporting & Recommendations:
Prepare credit memos and present findings to senior management and investment committees.
Recommend credit limits, pricing, and risk mitigation strategies.
Portfolio Monitoring:
Continuously monitor existing exposures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CFA or MBA preferred.
3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, investment banking, or energy finance.
Strong understanding of midstream energy operations, contracts (e.g., take-or-pay), and regulatory frameworks.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex analyses clearly.
