The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, Department of Surgery is seeking a full-time academic breast surgeon at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor. Our team at UF Health Jacksonville is a highly skilled group of surgeons who work alongside a talented multidisciplinary team approach to breast care. Our multidisciplinary team includes expertise in medical oncology, radiation oncology, genetic counseling, breast imaging, breast pathology and plastic/reconstructive surgery with support of cancer care navigators.
Major Responsibilities
Provide the highest quality breast surgical oncology care for patients
Build a robust practice and develop a competitive breast surgery program
Teach medical students, residents, fellows and community physicians
Conduct clinical research and scholarly activities in breast surgery

UF Health North, a 92-bed hospital and outpatient medical campus in North Jacksonville

UF Jacksonville Physicians, Inc., a network of primary and specialty care centers offering exceptional patient care throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia
Expected Salary
Salary and academic appointment is negotiable and the benefits are excellent.
Minimum Requirements
MD/DO in General Surgery and Florida Medical License.
Preferred Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Completed fellowship in Surgical Oncology / Breast Surgery
Experience in building a practice in a competitive environment
