We’re seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our Manufacturing Technology team at the Washington Works site in Parkersburg, WV. The role reports to the Manufacturing Technology Manager and focuses on improving reliability and preventative maintenance to drive cost and capacity improvements.

Responsibilities

Leading the development of asset management plans and preventive/predictive maintenance programs.

Providing mechanical engineering assistance to maintenance and operations including troubleshooting, evaluation of equipment failures, and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades.

Ensuring maintenance and reliability work management processes are implemented and improved.

Leading and participating on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams related to reliability & safety events.

Identify failure modes and effects based on equipment type, materials of construction, and operating conditions.

Leading area teams through quarterly reviews of reliability performance and corrective action development.

Identify critical spares required to deliver reliable operations.

Initiate management of change (MOC) documents as needed to improve the production area.

Participate in Design for Reliability, Maintenance, and Inspection (D4RMI) for new equipment and capital projects.

Lead or participate in site programs such as vibration monitoring, lubrication analysis, thermography, etc.

Required Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment.

Strong technical and analytical skills.

Root Cause Analysis experience.

Ability to troubleshoot.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.

Professional reliability certification (e.g., CRE, CRP, CRL, SMRP).

Strong knowledge of SAP-PM, SAP-MM and Maintenance Work Management Systems.

Familiarity or certification in API 510, API 570 & API 653.

Experience with Process Safety Management methodologies.

Experience in a high-hazard process environment.

Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
