About the Role As an
Audit and Assurance Staff Accountant , you’ll gain hands‑on experience performing audits, reviews, and compilations for clients across diverse industries such as construction, non‑profit, and natural resources. Key Responsibilities
Perform audit procedures including risk assessments, internal control testing, and substantive testing.
Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
Conduct fieldwork (onsite or remote) under supervision of senior auditors and managers.
Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly to team members.
Ensure workpapers and documentation meet professional and firm standards.
Stay current with GAAP, GAAS, and new accounting pronouncements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
Minimum 1.5 years of recent public accounting experience (audit or assurance).
CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA licensure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with audit software such as CaseWare, CCH Engagement, or similar preferred.
