Full-Time with an ESOP Contractor | Schedule: 9x80 (Every Other Friday Off)

Active Secret Clearance Required to Start & Active Top Secret Clearance Preferred

Senior Software Engineer

for the

GMD Weapon System (GWS) team

on the

Ground Missile Defense (GMD) system . You will be responsible for developing and implementing software updates that best meet changing customer needs for new and existing features, collaborating with team members, and working in a cross-functional agile scrum team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug, and document embedded and object-oriented C++ software.

Lead development and implementation of new and updated features based on evolving customer requirements.

Work in a cross-functional Agile Scrum team, collaborating with systems and software engineers.

Ensure compliance with software standards and secure development practices.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements definition, integration, and deployment.

Apply systems thinking to develop scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law

Active Secret Clearance required

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of experience (or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience)

Strong experience in:

Experience developing embedded and object-oriented software in C++

CMake for build automation

GTest for unit testing

Experience developing software in a Linux (preferably RHEL) environment

Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD Top Secret security clearance

Degree in Software Engineering or related field

Missile Defense domain knowledge

Knowledge of SysUML

Familiarity with Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Bitbucket) and Agile software development practices

CompTIA Security+ Certification (DoD 8570 Compliant)

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 (This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.))
