Mammography Technologist, Breast Imaging, PRN, First Shift
UC Health is hiring a PRN Mammography Technologist for the breast imaging department for first-shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Technologist performs stereotactic breast biopsies, scheduling exams and patient follow-up, obtaining and faxing biopsy results, tracking in systems, and informing radiologists of results.

Responsibilities
Engages in population-appropriate communication.
Gives clear instructions to patients/family about treatment.
Involves family/guardian in assessment and ongoing care.
Identifies patient physical limitations and deploys interventions when necessary.
Recognizes and responds appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems.
Interprets population-related data and plans care appropriately.
Performs mammographic procedures per protocols, explaining procedures to patients.
Prepares images, prior studies, and paperwork, submits completed studies to radiologists, and follows up films timely.
Maintains appropriate records, supplies, and assists with accreditation requirements.
Participates in continuing education in Mammography, maintains licensure, and demonstrates skill in caring for adult and geriatric patients.
Performs evaluative equipment tests and participates in QA program.
Qualifies patients for funding programs, tracks grant funds, and tracks patient results for proper follow-up.
Qualifications
Associate of Science Degree in Radiology Technology.
Registered as a Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
Prefer one year experience in mammography but will train.
Must agree to obtain advanced board certification in mammography.
