About the Company Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Baltimore, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence. With a strong presence in the region and a collaborative work culture, they are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team.
Position Summary The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Support inventory accounting and cost analysis
Prepare financial reports and assist with internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cost accounting or inventory management
CPA or working toward certification
Salary range 65-75k
Health, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match (3%)
