Advanced Practice Provider – Neurovascular
Brown University Health invites an Advanced Practice Provider (AP) to join the Neurovascular Center (NVC) at Rhode Island Hospital. The AP will work across the Emergency Department, Stroke Service, and Neurointerventional Radiology (NIR) to provide acute, hyper‑acute, and post‑interventional care for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients. Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of neurovascular patients in partnership with the multidisciplinary team. Provide direct acute care, education, and consultation to patients and families. Assist in hyper‑acute MRI and IV/IA revascularization therapies. Scrub and participate in NIR procedures, including pre‑procedure H&P, consent, and post‑procedure care. Coordinate patient care across acute, home‑care, and ambulatory settings. Maintain mandatory infection‑control, BLS, ACLS/PALS certification. Qualifications
Master of Science in an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Specialty certification required for Nurse Practitioners. Baccalaureate in Nursing, BLS, and ACLS certification. One to two years of acute‑care APP experience preferred. Proficiency in neurovascular assessment, NIHSS, and Modified Rankin Score. Prescriptive privileges per licensure. Benefits
Pay Range: $130,000.00 – $178,132.50 Location: Rhode Island Hospital – 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903 Work Type: Full‑time Shift: Variable (M‑F 7:00‑7:30 pm, occasional weekend/night) EEO Statement
