Position Summary The Project Manager Security Systems directs and administers oversight of all access control (CCURE, LENEL), CCTV (Avigilon), and Service Now (SNOW) ticket requests, as well as all security‑related functions that support JetBlue operations. The manager oversees, schedules, leads, and mentors analysts and security coordinators and actively leads all assigned projects from start to finish—including project team definition, planning, documentation, vendor oversight, product purchasing, budgeting, tracking, reporting, rollout, cadence of team alignment calls, and formal project closure.
Essential Responsibilities
Project initiation: define high‑level scope, establish stakeholders, and secure funding/internal resources.
Project planning: create requirement specifications and project plans; define project team; allocate resources; coordinate vendor selection and contract management; facilitate product purchasing; establish success criteria.
Project execution: collect technical documentation, deployment plan, and support plan; interface between affected departments, business partners, and vendors.
Project control: manage changes, risks, scope, cost, quality, communications, time, and procurement.
Project closure: collect formal acceptance, evaluate success criteria, close cost accounts and contracts.
Ensure that JetBlue Corporate Security standards and related business standards and procedures are maintained in accordance with company policies, audits, security, and regulatory requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Required High School/GED.
Qualifications
Four (4) years of previous security‑related work in law enforcement, intelligence, regulatory, or private/corporate security sector.
Oversee a weekly report on all security devices requiring maintenance throughout the network.
Assign and manage business partner work orders for break‑fix requests.
Produce reports and provide oral debriefs to leadership on security issues.
Develop working relationships and mentor team members on projects.
Maintain relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to ensure security compliance.
Assess, implement, and maintain security requirements for current and future stations with a focus on adequate CCTV and access control coverage.
Possess a valid travel document and ability to travel in and out of the United States.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Microsoft 365.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and organization.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
May need to acquire and maintain a U.S. Customs Clearance.
Available for overnight travel (40%).
Must pass a pre‑employment drug test.
Legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
Four (4) years of previous security‑related work, intelligence, regulatory, or private/corporate security sector.
Experience with CCTV, SIDA systems, access control installations, user account/group assignments, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and modifying creation of access level grouping.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Excel, Visio, Avigilon, Indigo.
Equipment Computer and other office equipment.
Work Environment
Airport Environment.
Traditional Office Environment.
Physical Effort Generally not required; 0 pounds, frequently or up to 10 pounds occasionally (sedentary).
Compensation The base pay range is $80,000 – $136,200 per year. Total compensation may include healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space‑available travel on JetBlue, and more.
Location Long Island City, New York.
