Job Description
Segula Technologies is hiring a
Design Release Engineer (DRE)
specializing in
Interior Cockpit Consoles
and
Door Systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the design, release, and validation of interior trim systems with a focus on console and door systems. This role requires ownership of the complete product lifecycle — from concept through production — ensuring all components meet functional, quality, cost, and timing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, validation, and release of console and door system components
Manage component specifications, interface requirements, and system integration constraints.
Ensure all components meet vehicle-level performance, craftsmanship, and quality standards.
Develop and maintain Design Verification Plans & Reports, (DVPRs) and coordinate validation testing
Conduct DFMEA reviews, manage engineering changes, design documentation in Teamcenter
Support prototype builds, pre-production, and launch activities, resolving issues in real time.
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, quality teams to ensure design feasibility and readiness
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering field (Master’s preferred)
3+ years in automotive interior component design & release engineering for OEM or Tier 1 programs.
Proficient in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX for 3D model interpretation, modification, design reviews.
Experienced with Teamcenter for BOM management, document control, change workflows.
Knowledge of injection molding, vacuum forming, adhesive bonding, plastic trim assembly.
Skilled in GD&T (ASME Y14.5), DFMEA/PFMEA, tolerance analysis, OEM validation processes.
Knowledge of packaging and interfaces for HVAC, IP structures, wiring, and electrical systems.
Proven ability in root‑cause analysis, 8D problem‑solving, and supplier issue resolution.
