Composites Technician III (Weekend Shift)
Summary
The Composites Technician III is responsible for the hand layup and filament winding of advanced composite materials on designated tooling per specific work instructions, and/or customer specifications. Tasks included in this position are tooling fabrication, tool prep for lay-up, hand lay-up of pre-preg composite material using a variety of techniques and processes, vacuum bagging, precision trimming and layup techniques.

Pay Range Base pay: $28.00/hr - $39.00/hr

What You Will Do
Build composite parts using appropriate hand layup techniques
Utilize ply-placement system for accurate lay up of plies on tools during layup process
Visually inspect for FOD prior to bagging parts for room temperature, oven, and autoclave
Perform in-process inspections as instructed on work orders and as delegated by quality
Read precision measuring tools and instruments
Use chemicals, adhesives, and solvents as required
Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions
Read and understand blueprints and drawings
Assist with basic facility maintenance and clean-up
Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to more junior Composite Technicians
What We Are Looking For
Required Education: High School diploma
Required Experience: Strong proficiency with basic hand and power tools
Typically possesses: 4–7 years’ experience in a technical field and/or construction, electrical, plumbing, facility maintenance
Demonstrates an exceptional work ethic and attitude
Physical requirements: moderate physical and repetitious work, standing for extended periods, use of stairs and occasional heavy lifting
