Summary The Composites Quality Inspector is responsible for overseeing daily activities and workflows related to Composites Quality Assurance at Karman Space & Defense. The role ensures all QA efforts are conducted in compliance with Karman’s Quality Management System and AS9100 requirements.

What You Will Do
Ensure that Karman’s composites manufacturing meets all quality requirements, drawings, and specifications
Provide quality support and process oversight for composites layup technicians, including inspection of workmanship, material handling, kit cut and layup, documentation, inspection reports, and workflow
Ensure that materials are received, stored, handled, and tracked appropriately
Track all composite manufacturing and inspection documentation; document all non‑conformances, initiate and support corrective actions and investigations
Generate AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
Coordinate with suppliers to correct quality related issues
Perform and support quality and regulatory audits of the Composites Shop
Work with engineering staff to support process definition and new product development
What We Are Looking For
Required Education: HS Diploma
Hands‑on experience in aerospace composite layup desirable
Inspection experience desirable
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Skills
Highly organized
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Comfortable using computers to look‑up and input information
