Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join our dynamic litigation team, focusing on medical malpractice cases. This role involves supporting high‑stakes cases from discovery through trial, conducting depositions, and contributing to client advocacy in a collaborative, client‑centered environment. Ideal for a motivated attorney passionate about justice in healthcare‑related disputes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses for medical malpractice litigation.
Prepare for and participate in depositions, including deposing expert witnesses, physicians, and healthcare providers.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
Interview clients and witnesses to build strong case narratives and gather evidence.
Manage case files, ensure compliance with court deadlines, and support appeals if needed.
Assist in client communications, providing updates and counseling on case progress.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar (or eligibility to apply).
1‑3 years of experience in personal injury litigation, with a preference for medical malpractice (plaintiff or defense side).
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with healthcare regulations, medical terminology, and evidence rules.
Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
Pay Range Base pay: $135,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr
