Senior Accountant – Baltimore, MD - Full Time in Office - Local Candidates
Overview We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing, PE-backed Construction services company based in Baltimore. This newly created position will play a key role in supporting financial operations, scalability, and project-level reporting as the business continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the monthly close process and maintain accurate job costing and WIP schedules
Oversee core accounting functions including AP, AR, and cash management
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across projects or divisions
Prepare financial reports for leadership and investors
Partner with operations to ensure accurate cost tracking and revenue recognition
Contribute to process improvements, systems integrations, and efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in construction or project-based environments
Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, and GAAP accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
