Little Words Project
The Production and Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process and sourcing of materials for our jewelry pieces. This Production and Sourcing Manager will primarily focus on ensuring the seamless execution of our jewelry manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Manage the entire jewelry production lifecycle, from concept to final product, ensuring adherence to quality, design, and timeline standards.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality control teams to streamline production processes and optimize efficiency.
Monitor production workflows, address bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
Coordinate with external suppliers, artisans, and craftsmen to ensure consistent quality and timely production.
Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with factories/suppliers for various jewelry materials.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with factories/suppliers to ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising quality.
Stay informed about market trends and innovations in jewelry materials and sourcing practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance our product offerings.
Conduct regular quality checks on sourced materials and finished products to ensure they meet our specifications and brand expectations.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to avoid shortages and excesses.
Generate regular reports on production progress, material consumption, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in production processes and sourcing strategies.
Handling all BOM and Tech Packs for each new product.
Facilitating creation of sample product sets to be sent out.
Assigning photography requests, organizing them in photographer's spreadsheet based on specific product needs, and sending out his sample packages.
Sending out product to factory with necessary notes and feedback - managing the status of these changes.
Distributing factory samples to each team: ex: Sales, Social.
Sending out necessary packages to partners for approval.
Assisting in-house production team with bead knowledge, ensuring they have samples + the correct materials information.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3-7 years of experience in jewelry production, sourcing, or supply chain management.
Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.A passion for jewelry and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
Ability to work in office 4 days per week.
