We combine rigorous financial discipline with innovative analytics to drive sustainable returns across our investment platforms.

Position Overview The Property Accountant will play a key role in the financial reporting and analysis of a portfolio of real‑estate investments. This individual will be responsible for maintaining GAAP‑compliant accounting records, preparing financial statements, managing cash flow, and partnering with asset management and operations teams to provide insight into property performance. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable using advanced analytics tools to enhance reporting efficiency and decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with

U.S. GAAP .

Maintain the

general ledger

for assigned properties, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

Perform

variance analyses

and provide explanations for budget‑to‑actual differences.

Manage

CAM reconciliations , rent rolls, and tenant billing in

Yardi .

Support

audit and tax processes , providing supporting schedules and documentation as required.

Collaborate with

Asset Management

to ensure accurate tracking of capital expenditures, operating expenses, and property‑level performance metrics.

Leverage

Power BI ,

Power Query , and

Alteryx

to automate reporting, streamline data consolidation, and enhance analytical insight.

Assist in preparing property‑level and consolidated

cash flow forecasts

and

investment reporting packages .

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial reporting deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

3–6 years

of progressive accounting experience, preferably within

real‑estate investment, property management, or REIT

environments.

Strong working knowledge of

U.S. GAAP

and real‑estate accounting principles.

Hands‑on experience with

Yardi Voyager

or other property management systems.

Proficiency in

Power BI ,

Power Query , and

Alteryx

for financial and operational reporting.

Advanced

Excel

skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.

Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross‑functionally with finance, operations, and asset management teams.
