Senior Accountant
A rapidly growing real estate investment and asset management firm is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join its expanding accounting and finance team. The company owns and operates a diverse portfolio of real estate assets across the U.S. and is looking for a well‑rounded accounting professional to support both
property‑level
and
corporate accounting
functions.
This is a
hybrid role (2 days/week in Bethesda)
offering broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. You’ll work directly with a small, high‑performing team and have the opportunity to make a real impact as the company continues its rapid growth.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee monthly accounting operations for a portfolio of commercial properties
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Review monthly financials, variance reports, and property‑level analyses
Assist with debt covenant reporting and lender compliance
Manage AP and AR cycles, including rent billing and tenant ledgers in Yardi
Partner with Asset Management on budgeting and quarterly reforecasts
Support onboarding of new acquisitions and annual audits
Contribute to corporate (management company) accounting – cash flow forecasts, expense policy review, and intercompany reconciliations
What We’re Looking For:
2–4+ years of accounting or finance experience (real estate or public accounting strongly preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar systems preferred
Solid understanding of GAAP; budgeting/forecasting experience a plus
Entrepreneurial mindset and strong Excel skills
Compensation Base pay: $90,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr
Additional compensation: Annual Bonus
