Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Financial Analyst for our Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit. Headquartered in Wendell, NC (20 miles East of downtown Raleigh, NC), the EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products including low voltage motor control centers, compact modular reclosers, distribution switches, medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage circuit breakers, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relays.

Position Overview Join our EA team as Financial Analyst for the Solutions sub-segment within EA. The Solutions sub-segment executes construction projects in the range of $2.5M to $100M+ and is the largest sub-segment within EA. The successful candidate will add value by providing analysis, reporting, planning, and forecasting. In addition to supporting the Solutions sub-segment, the role will also look for synergies across the Systems sub-segments to drive consistent analysis and reporting. This position will report to the Controller of the Solutions sub-segment and will interact on a regular basis with segment, sub-segment and senior management.

Specific Responsibilities

Support the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting cycles

Own and drive recurring month end closing responsibilities

Prepare analyses of as sold margin vs final delivered project margins

Provide analysis to drive a clean balance sheet

Summarize non-conformance costs (budget cost overruns) on projects then report out findings and trends

Analyze customer accounts receivable

Collaborate with leadership team to prepare business cases for strategic initiatives

Prepare monthly KPI’s

Support Salesforce.com digitalization projects to drive efficiency

Create and optimize reporting and analysis through digital tools like AI, Tableau and Power BI

Analyze monthly results through variance analysis and provide commentary on deviation

Prepare financial journal entries during month end closure as needed

Support other month end related closing activities

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management

5+ years in a related accounting/finance position

Preferred Qualifications

Excel and PowerPoint

SAP proficiency intermediate level a plus

Salesforce.com and Tableau experience a plus

Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting

Ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to collaborate effectively across various functional departments and levels of management

Salary Range: $74,970 – $128,520
