Payroll Specialist
role. As a member of the Human Resources Team, the
Payroll Specialist
processes payrolls, maintains payroll and HR records, and provides HR reporting and administrative support.
Now is the ideal time to join. Relationship‑building is key to our success. This hybrid position: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Position Responsibilities
Ensure the bi‑weekly payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with company policy and all regulations.
Update and maintain electronic timekeeper files, audit balances, and transmit employee data to the payroll system.
Maintain accurate payroll and HR databases, enter changes with proper approvals, and resolve inconsistencies.
Respond to employee payroll inquiries.
Create and communicate standard procedures, providing guidance and training to stakeholders.
Position Requirements
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent; at least two years experience with a payroll processing system; HR experience helpful.
Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred.
Knowledge of full‑cycle multi‑state payroll processes.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, charts, data analysis).
Experience with ADP payroll system.
Basic accounting knowledge related to payroll and GL integration.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management.
Ability to create and follow procedures, recognize inconsistencies, and maintain confidentiality.
