Description
Coordinate, perform, and maintain administrative support activities for the Office of County Administration.
Prepare routine correspondence, compile information for reports, and maintain files for various records.
Exercise independent judgment and initiative to complete assignments, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Support the Assistant to the County Administrator/Deputy Clerk and Senior Administrative Coordinator with preparing and maintaining the Board’s agenda and minutes on the County website.
Interact regularly with the public, providing information, responding to inquiries and complaints, or forwarding them to appropriate personnel.
Work performed under regular supervision.
Compensation $12.41 - $19.00 hourly

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school supplemented by coursework in secretarial science or business practices, and 3 years of experience in administrative or clerical work, including office management; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Supplemental Information
Answer telephone and greet public officials, Department Directors, other staff members, and citizens; screen calls and visitors and respond to routine inquiries or direct them to appropriate personnel; take and distribute messages.
Update databases and websites of membership listings for various boards, commissions, and committees appointed by the Board of Supervisors, as well as Board Bank applications.
Prepare adopted ordinances and resolutions for Deputy Clerk's signature after Board of Supervisors' meetings including formatting, photocopying, distributing, and filing after the signature is obtained.
Establish and maintain records and files for County Administration and the Board of Supervisors using Laserfiche archiving software.
Prepare presentation resolutions and proclamations; compile and compose various documents requiring a variety of software formats; ensure correct spelling, punctuation, format, and grammar.
Maintain budget records for County Administration and the Board of Supervisors, prepare required purchase requisitions and requests for payments, ensure proper budget codes are used and line item balances are adequate for purchases/expenditures.
Physical Demands
Must be physically able to operate automated office machines (typewriter, calculator, copier, facsimile machine, etc.). Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, may involve walking or standing for periods.
