Raytheon is looking for an Electronic Protection Agile Product Owner to support the Long Range Radars (LRR) department. The LRR department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world‑class Missile Defense & Sensors to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.
What You Will Do The Electronic Protection (EP) product owner (PO) role is responsible for the execution of a subset of Systems and Software Engineering scope for the AN/TPY‑2 Programs. The PO is responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of the technical, cost and schedule for their team. This includes task planning to create milestones and schedules, tracking earned value and managing competing priorities. Typical activities executed by the EP team include system performance gap analyses and trade studies, architecture definition, design, prototyping, software development, integration, and test and analysis for new or enhanced system capabilities. The successful candidate will be expected to build the team’s abilities and be able to work with both internal and external customers. They will also be expected to support proposal efforts in support of new business and have knowledge of the financial status and planning for the team.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
Experience leading a technical effort.
Execution of technical, cost and schedule performance.
An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience interfacing with customers and leading technical solutions to complex user requirements.
Experience with the AN/TPY‑2 System and/or Missile Defense programs.
Experience with radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development.
Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staffing planning.
Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI‑compliant Gate Reviews, (particularly associated with SRR, PDR and CDR).
Experience working within the Agile Scrum development practice.
Experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems.
Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time‑critical requirements.
Experience with Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
PhD/Master’s Degree in Engineering, or relevant discipline (Math, Physics or Business).
