Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Decision Science Developer supports the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) brand through the design, validation, and implementation of optimization logic, forecasting models, and analytical frameworks within NCLH's proprietary Artemis Revenue Management System (RMS). This position bridges data science, system functionality, and application expertise, ensuring that analytical models are accurately represented within Artemis and operate in alignment with commercial objectives. Success in this role requires not only strong data and programming proficiency, but also a comprehensive functional understanding of both Artemis RMS and the Seaware Reservation Platform - including how analysts use these applications to manage inventory, forecast demand, and execute pricing decisions. The combination of data integration, model development, and application functionality represents a highly specialized and interdependent skill set unique to NCLH's technology environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and validate Decision Science models to determine optimization levels, leveraging the Artemis RMS data, including demand forecasting, elasticity modeling, cancellation risk, and optimization logic for the NCL brand.
Serve as the functional expert on Artemis RMS, with hands‑on understanding of its user interface, configuration workflows, and decision‑support capabilities.
Collaborate closely with the Decision Science and Revenue Management teams to operationalize analytical models into Artemis RMS functionality, ensuring that business users can effectively interpret and apply recommendations.
Maintain end‑to‑end knowledge of the data flow between Seaware and Artemis, including source tables, transformation logic, and data synchronization processes that drive pricing and forecast accuracy.
Conduct data validation, quality checks, and diagnostic analyses to ensure accuracy of model inputs and outputs within production environments.
Partner with IT and Data Engineering to support code deployment, version control, and automation within Snowflake and related enterprise analytics systems.
Develop dashboards and monitoring tools in Tableau and Snowflake to evaluate model performance, RMS recommendation adoption, and realized revenue impact.
Provide user support and functional training, helping revenue management analysts understand how Artemis logic interacts with pricing levers and forecast mechanisms.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance model performance, streamline data pipelines, and improve system usability.
Uphold system governance, documentation, and testing standards to ensure long‑term stability and reproducibility of decision science applications.
Perform other job‑related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS DEGREE TYPE : Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY : Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree in a quantitative or business analytics discipline preferred.
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years of experience in revenue management, decision science, or data analytics within a complex enterprise systems environment.
COMPETENCIES / SKILLS
Demonstrated expertise in Artemis RMS and Seaware Reservation System functionality - including both data architecture and end‑user application behavior.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Snowflake, and Tableau; familiarity with machine learning or optimization frameworks preferred.
Proven ability to translate analytical concepts into usable system features and business processes.
