JOB SUMMARY

As the Human Resources Generalist at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's talent acquisition efforts. This position is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, applicant tracking, screening, interviewing coordination, and onboarding. You will collaborate with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective staffing of positions that align with the Club’s mission and values. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate employee records, supporting HR compliance, and assisting with other HR-related projects as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge of:

Recruitment strategies and best practices

Employment laws and regulations

Applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms

Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

General HR practices and procedures

Skills & Abilities:

Effectively manage multiple open positions and competing priorities

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters

Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills

Adapt to changing processes and demonstrate initiative

Accurately maintain and update employee records and HR systems

Provide exceptional service to candidates and staff throughout the hiring process

Exercise sound judgment in evaluating candidates and making hiring recommendations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

SHRM or other HR certification

Experience in full-cycle recruitment and onboarding

Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and position management tools

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills

Positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be of the mental and physical capacity to observe, interact, and communicate with youth, staff, volunteers, and parents at the Club

Ability to operate general office equipment including PC, telephone copier, etc.

Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

This position is considered to be safety-sensitive
