client is seeking a strategic and hands‑on
Controller
to lead the firm’s financial operations and accounting team.
In this leadership capacity, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and trust accounting — partnering closely with executive leadership to guide financial decisions and firm strategy.
What You’ll Do
Lead and develop an accounting team, including AP, AR, and billing functions
Manage month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Prepare financial statements and management reports to guide firm leadership decisions
Oversee trust accounts, bank reconciliations, and payroll coordination
Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with executive leadership on financial strategy, partner distributions, and reporting
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in management
Experience in a professional services environment; law firm/trust accounting experience is a plus
Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
