Health and Safety Advisor – Wind Turbine Assembly
Shirley Parsons is partnering with an industry‑leading renewables client expanding operations along the East Coast of the United States. The project involves the assembly and installation of wind turbines, supporting the transition to a cleaner energy future.

Day Shift – 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off
Responsibilities Oversee daily site safety activities during turbine assembly and installation. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and correct potential hazards. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of site‑specific safety plans and procedures. Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action processes. Provide on‑site training, inductions, and toolbox talks to promote awareness and compliance with safety standards. Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with company and regulatory safety requirements. Maintain accurate safety documentation, including reports, logs, and permit records. Participate in daily coordination meetings to communicate safety priorities and concerns. Ensure all personnel follow safe work practices for lifting, working at heights, electrical safety, and confined space entry. Collaborate with site management, engineers, and union representatives to address safety challenges and improve performance. Support emergency response planning and drills. Promote a strong safety culture by leading by example and encouraging proactive reporting and communication.
Qualifications Proven experience in safety management on wind energy construction or installation projects. Background in large‑scale renewable or electrical infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry‑specific safety standards. GWO (Global Wind Organization) certification preferred. Experience working on union sites is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to build relationships and influence safe work behaviors across diverse teams. Willingness to travel and work on‑site along the East Coast.
