Cardiology LPN – Baptist Health Central Alabama
Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient services to nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore counties.
Job Summary The LPN will provide direct, individualized, goal‑directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. The role involves administering medications, monitoring patient symptoms and conditions, and executing the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
Document patient symptoms, conditions, and care outcomes accurately.
Participate in new hire and annual health screenings for Employee Health when assigned.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and procedural standards.
Assist in supervising and training staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (degree in Nursing or completion of an LPN program preferred).
Active LPN license required; BLS required. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required based on department assignment.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with MS Office and relevant computer software.
Ability to multitask, meet strict deadlines, and remain calm in difficult situations.
