As one of Iowa's most trusted human services agencies, LSI has a legacy of serving children and families for 160 years. Our support department teams including Marketing, Philanthropy and Church Relations use their expertise to ensure our direct care staff have the resources they need to provide high-quality care to the Iowans we are privileged to serve. What You'll Do
Support the agency's mission, vision, and values by providing leadership and strategic visioning to the agency's philanthropy goals.
Manage philanthropy professionals around the state, as well as the Volunteer Coordinator.
Serve as a key point of contact for all external engagement opportunities.
Apply a custom cultivation strategy to critical donors; strengthening relationships through appropriate and regular communication to increase overall giving.
Develop an annual budget for gift solicitations and fulfillments that reflect the agency's strategic growth goals.
Grow a portfolio of potential donors.
Foster key stakeholder relationships.
Align internal and external communications with the agency's mission, vision, values, and brand.
Provide presentations to churches, legislators, and other key stakeholders.
Work with the Lutheran Disaster Response.
Grow a culture of engagement and stewardship among the agency's employees.
What You'll Need
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, management, or a related field.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of full time in fund development, including management experience.
Experience in marketing, strategic planning, managing major gifts, or estate gifts is preferred.
Minimal travel to support relationships and fund development will be required.
