LHH is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead our client's tax operations across a diverse and complex portfolio of investment vehicles and legal entities. This role is ideal for a licensed CPA with deep expertise in partnership taxation, fund-level accounting, and multi-entity structures. The successful candidate will play a key role in tax planning, compliance, and reporting, while collaborating across finance, operations, and external advisors. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize efficiency across fund structures and portfolio transactions. Monitor investment activity and financial performance to identify and plan for taxable events. Provide guidance on tax structuring for acquisitions, dispositions, and other transactions. Conduct research and analysis on the tax implications of complex transactions, including asset transfers and sales. Manage tax treatment, elections, and compliance for various legal entities (LPs, LLCs, Blockers, etc.). Collaborate with fund accounting teams on tax allocations, capital accounts, and waterfall calculations. Coordinate with external advisors on fund formation and operational structuring. Oversee corporate blocker entities and ensure adherence to relevant tax processes. Lead the coordination of annual tax return filings and K-1 distributions with external tax providers. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations across all jurisdictions. Respond to audit inquiries and manage tax-related notices from regulatory agencies. Reconcile tax basis balance sheets and maintain state tax accounts and registrations. Partner with internal teams including Legal, Compliance, and Operations to support tax-related initiatives. Provide tax insights and support for financing transactions and internal structuring. Assist deal teams with tax diligence and planning for complex partnership arrangements. Qualifications

Active CPA license required. 6–8+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably within investment management, private equity, or alternative asset environments. Strong technical expertise in partnership taxation and fund-level tax matters. Experience working with complex investment structures and multi-entity environments. Proven ability to manage intricate tax processes and collaborate across departments. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
