Job Title:
Senior Medical Director
Reports to: Medical Department Head
Job Purpose The Medical Director is responsible for providing strategic direction and hands‑on development of high‑quality medical and scientific content across multiple therapeutic areas. The position manages all medical and scientific aspects of finished medical education programs, leads a team, liaises with other departments and clients, and participates in the development of new service offerings for pharmaceutical customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the creation of content for various therapeutic areas, including literature searches, outlines, and writing.
Review materials (primary data articles, review articles, abstracts, slide kits, posters, etc.) for scientific accuracy.
Manage and develop team members, providing strategic support, motivation and mentoring.
Act as liaison between management, clients, and internal groups.
Participate in brand planning, strategic development and ensure medical education communication plans align with issues, strategies, and programming.
Develop direction and content for new business.
Ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and group situations to clients, vendors and internal teams.
Proactively identify business opportunities for new brands/customers that contribute to strategic growth.
Deliver projects that meet objectives, specifications, technical accuracy, and appropriate level and tone for the audience.
Stay informed of new products, services and other relevant information; evaluate scientific data regarding market potential of therapeutic areas and assist in prioritizing areas.
Follow and stay updated on regulations of the AMA, OIG, PhRMA, ACCME and AdvaMed regarding promotional and educational programming.
Build rapport with external medical community and customers.
Create and maintain a reference database for assigned products.
Attend conferences, trade shows, or other venues as necessary.
Execute all administrative responsibilities (timesheets, status updates, calendar management) in a timely manner.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed.

Qualifications
Advanced degree in life science (PharmD, PhD, or MD).
5 to 7 years of pharmaceutical marketing, communications, or health education experience.
At least five years of medical directing experience.
Creative thinking and ability to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic medical communication offerings.
Capacity to monitor client needs, Evolution’s capabilities, and new product trends.
Clear communication of medical facts in a concise, audience‑appropriate manner; excellent oral and written communication skills.
Understanding of incorporating marketing messages strategically and tactically; excellent analytical skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment; self‑motivated.
Team interaction effectiveness.
Flexibility to manage multiple tasks with high volume.
Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
