Location Westlake or Merrimack, NH (Hybrid - 2 alternate weeks onsite per month)

Duration 6 months to start, with renewal based on performance and potential for longer‑term engagement.

Interview Process Two rounds: first with the Hiring Manager, followed by a 90‑minute technical and behavioral interview.

The Team

The team is looking for a strong Software Engineering background with cloud skills. Candidates should have experience in Python and at least one other language, and be language‑agnostic.

Strong AWS expertise is required, specifically with S3, EKS, Lambda, and related services.

Knowledge of security is a nice to have.

Candidates should be proficient in software engineering and able to coach on AWS best practices.

DevOps Engineers are not considered for this role.

The Role

As a Cloud Engineer, you will work within a complementary team of technologists who value innovation and collaboration.

You will be part of the AWS Security and Service Enablement squad, focusing on large‑scale, business‑critical AWS environments.

Design, scale, and deploy cloud security controls and services.

Create processes and workflows that integrate IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud services.

Develop APIs in Python.

Ensure a seamless user experience while maintaining advanced security and compliance of the cloud infrastructure.

Maintain and contain business risk associated with the AWS cloud infrastructure.

Collaborate across teams and business units to define requirements and deliver solutions.

Build comprehensive security controls to enforce policy.

Support business unit technologists deploying to the public cloud.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, security, and compliance.

Strong understanding of AWS cloud services.

Operational support of cloud account configuration in AWS.

Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines or security tooling for cloud‑native deployments.

Background in developing APIs, particularly in Python.

Experience building deployment pipelines, e.g., Jenkins.

Experience implementing infrastructure‑as‑code concepts and technologies.

Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.

Proficiency with YAML and JSON markup languages.

Solid grasp of cloud delivery models (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) and associated automation, containers, virtual compute, storage, and networking.

Ability to work with application and security teams to promote a secure cloud posture.

Mentoring and training other team members on effective cloud practices.

Self‑starter who can learn independently using documentation.

Compensation Starting pay: $65.00/hr.
