Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Sterile Processing, the Sterile Processing Manager will assist in the operation of the department by exerting a leadership role in carrying out the Mission, Goals and Objectives of the hospital, focusing on the patient, physician, employees and customers. The role will involve integrating operations with other departments to ensure efficiency and coordination, recruiting qualified personnel, ensuring staff competence, maintaining quality control programs, and supporting hospital and community events.
Responsibilities Assist the Director of Sterile Processing in recruiting and onboarding qualified personnel, ensuring a sufficient number and balance of services, and maintaining staff qualifications and competence. Maintain appropriate quality control programs and continuously assess and improve the quality of care and services. Provide orientation and continuing education to all department personnel. Recommend resources as needed. Promote and support the hospital to potential customers through active participation in hospital and community events.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Two‑Year Surgical Technology Course or CRCST/CSPDT
Preferred Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
Required License/Certification:
CSPDT/IAHCSMM Certification
Required Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years sterile processing experience and a two‑year surgical technology course or CRCST by IAHCSMM or CSPDT certification.
Leadership Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience.
Skills:
Good supervisory, communication and technical skills, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, computer proficiency, knowledge of operating room instrumentation and equipment, and knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control.
Compensation and Benefits Salary type:
Annual Salary Salary minimum:
$70,000 Salary maximum:
$90,000 Currency:
USD
