Position Summary The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Education seeks scholars with professional experience in organizational learning and leadership for a full‑time, three‑year fixed‑term appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor, with the possibility of renewal. The role offers the opportunity to expand organizational leadership knowledge and teaching across undergraduate and graduate programs, mentor students in the EdD in Educational Leadership’s online Concentration in Organizational Leadership and Learning (OLL), and contribute to strategic initiatives at the school, campus, and broader community.
Responsibilities
Develop and teach courses in organizational leadership to undergraduate and graduate students.
Mentor students in the EdD in Educational Leadership’s online concentration OLL.
Support strategic initiatives across the School and campus.
Contribute to the ongoing development of undergraduate and graduate programs.
Provide leadership and service at the local, state, and national levels.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Candidate must hold a doctorate in education, sociology, organizational psychology, or closely related fields, and have experience teaching and bridging theory and practice in an organizational leadership program. Extensive knowledge of how adults and organizations learn, develop, and apply this work in higher education, business, government, or private organizations is required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Strong preference for candidates with experience in organization‑based research and applying research to drive organizational change.
