Role Overview We are seeking an experienced, tech‑savvy Financial Reporting & Fund Accounting Senior Associate or Manager to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a proven track record in public accounting, fund administration, or audit—particularly those who have managed complex fund structures and public company reporting, and who have led or implemented technology‑driven process improvements.
Experience with SPACs entity reporting is required; private equity or hedge funds is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the accounting and financial reporting for multiple SPAC sponsor entities and public shell companies.
Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports (10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K), coordinating with legal counsel, auditors, and public company accountants.
Manage pro‑forma financials and technical accounting analyses for de‑SPAC transactions and M&A activity.
Provide CFO‑level insights through advanced reporting, analytics, and reconciliations.
Private Fund & Management Company Accounting
Oversee monthly and quarterly closes for private funds and management companies, ensuring accurate calculation of NAVs, management/incentive fees, and complex allocations.
Review and enhance valuation processes for illiquid and hard‑to‑value securities.
Manage annual audits in collaboration with fund administrators and external auditors.
Drive improvements in investor reporting, workflow, and controls.
Technology & Automation Leadership
Design and implement automation solutions using advanced Excel, Python, VBA, or Alteryx to enhance reporting, reconciliation, and data management.
Lead technology initiatives leveraging AI and LLMs to streamline document preparation, data workflows, and internal controls.
Serve as a subject matter expert for accounting technology adoption, training, and process optimization.
Leadership & Project Management
Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and on‑the‑job training.
Lead cross‑functional projects to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance operations.
Represent the finance function in technology selection, implementation, and integration efforts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
3–5 years of progressive experience in public accounting, fund accounting, or audit, with significant exposure to investment funds, SEC clients, or SPACs.
CPA required.
Deep understanding of US GAAP, fund accounting, and public company reporting requirements.
Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, projects, or client relationships.
Advanced technical skills in Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, macros), Python, VBA, or Alteryx; experience with fund accounting/GL systems (Enfusion, Investran, Geneva) and SEC filing tools (ActiveDisclosure, Workiva) strongly preferred.
Proven ability to drive process improvements through technology, including automation and AI/LLM applications.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting and technical concepts to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Location & Work Style
Hybrid preferred (Boca Raton, FL, 2–3 days/week), but open to strong remote candidates on Eastern hours with occasional travel.
