Principal or Senior Principal Systems Engineer

to join our Payload Systems Engineering Team as an

Interfaces Lead . As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to support efforts on both concept and product development to deliver key solutions to our customers. We cover a wide variety of expertise within the systems engineering domain. This includes mission engineering, requirements, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, and verification and validation.

Responsibilities

Ability to work across multiple stakeholders to converge on a solution

Document system interfaces in Cameo

Running Interface Working Group meetings

Ensuring interfaces meet, or do not prevent meeting, payload level requirements

Ensuring that all interfaces are well defined and contain all necessary attributes in the Cameo model

Basic Qualifications

Principal Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in STEM curriculum with 5 years relevant experience; 3 years with MS Degree; or PhD with 1 year of experience.

Sr Principal Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in STEM curriculum with 8 years relevant experience; 6 years with MS Degree; or PhD with 4 years of experience.

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance a time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.

Systems engineering experience (i.e. requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, verification and validation).

Experience running efficient working group meetings.

Space experience

Sensor/payload experience

Active TS/SCI

Please be aware that this position will be contingent upon capturing program award(s), obtaining and maintaining customer and/or business funding, and holding final clearances (if applicable) prior to start date.

Primary Level Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
