Paralegal The
Paralegal
will assist the General Counsel on a wide range of legal matters. They will have a primary focus on timely reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts including professional services, non‑disclosure, and vendor agreements and providing related advice to internal clients. The Paralegal will also assist in developing and implementing legal strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives as well as monitoring changes in laws and regulations to address potential legal risks.

Paralegal
to join our New York office reporting directly to our General Counsel to aid with managing a comprehensive legal workload, including assistance with the following:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including prime agreements, Prime Consultant agreements, NDAs, and other related agreements and legal documents.
Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
Assist with the creation, organization, and maintenance of corporate records, including resolutions.
Support General Counsel by providing other support services as requested: risk management, international agreements, insurance issues, social media and other issues as they arise.
Work with Vice Presidents and employees at all levels to filter legal issues.
Manage the firm’s risk management process, including working internally and with carriers and brokers.
Summarize legal documents.
Perform legal research.
Identify and deliver legal support services that promote business development through practical solutions.
Provide other support services as requested by General Counsel and other duties as assigned by management.
Manage pre‑claims litigation, including the management of relationships with outside counsel.
Create/review and implement corporate policies and procedures; licensing; employment matters; record‑retention policies and general compliance matters.
Assist with managing pre‑claims litigation, including responding to subpoenas.
Check legal forms for accuracy and perform legal research.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sense of responsibility and commitment to preserving confidential matters, a concern for the accuracy and quality of work, and proactive steps to correct mistakes and improve the overall product under the guidance of the firm’s legal counsel.
Additional Job Requirements
2+ years of experience as a paralegal.
In person Monday through Thursday in the New York City office.
Prior experience in a business‑oriented law firm, in‑house legal department, or construction/engineering or architectural industry is a plus.
Litigation and contract review/negotiation experience is a plus.
Excellent and thorough investigation skills are important to you.
Detail‑oriented with an ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of risk management and insurance issues is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to follow directions and ask clarifying questions but also work independently, without significant direct supervision and handle multiple priorities.
