Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive

Legal Assistant

to provide administrative and legal support to our attorneys and paralegals. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a

plaintiff’s personal injury firm , excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy office setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys and paralegals with case management from intake through settlement or trial.

Draft, edit, and format correspondence, pleadings, discovery demands, and legal documents.

Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical offices to obtain records and updates.

Schedule depositions, IMEs, court appearances, and maintain attorney calendars.

Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring deadlines are met.

Manage mail, scanning, e-filing (NYSCEF), and court document submissions.

Provide general administrative support including answering phones, filing, and client intake assistance.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience

as a Legal Assistant, preferably in

personal injury or litigation .

Strong knowledge of

New York State court procedures

and familiarity with

NYSCEF e-filing .

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in

Microsoft Office

and

case management software

(SmartAdvocate, Needles, or TrialWorks preferred).

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a proactive work ethic.

Bilingual in English and Spanish

— strongly preferred.
