Community Events Coordinator and Events Planner, Hispanic & Latino Communities We are seeking a passionate, extremely organized, and community-oriented Community Events Coordinator & Event Planner to design, manage, and execute events that celebrate and support the Hispanic and Latino community on behalf of GOLDLAW. This role involves cultivating partnerships, coordinating cultural and educational programs, and ensuring that all events reflect the values, traditions, and needs of the community. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), culturally knowledgeable, and skilled in building meaningful relationships within diverse community networks. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

THIS POSITION IS IN-PERSON ONLY. NO REMOTE WORK IS AVAILABLE.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, including festivals, workshops, resource fairs, cultural celebrations, and outreach initiatives focused on engaging the Hispanic and Latino community.

Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, businesses, media outlets, and community leaders to support event success and outreach.

Track the effectiveness of our firm’s participation in community events as a sponsor and measure intended results, which may include increasing brand awareness, educating potential clients about their rights and our legal services, generating new leads, and strengthening organizational or business relationships.

Must be present on-site and engage with the public and other vendors.

Work with the Supervisor to coordinate meetings and promotion of our scholarship program for students aspiring toward a future as an attorney.

Attend all events and ensure set‑up and tear‑down are managed correctly.

Pack away all materials after an event, take stock, and repair or replace damaged items.

Ensure a checklist of each event is updated, implemented, and deadlines are met for each event.

Collaborate with all marketing team members.

Work with the team on sign ups for shifts at events GOLDLAW is participating in, report to HR on attendance, and manage staff at events.

Look at creative ways we can reach our market at each event.

Sponsorships & Donations

Assist in the planning and execution of firm sponsorships by evaluating requests and managing the approved sponsorships and donations.

Assist in maintaining and tracking past sponsorships, participation, and results.

Develop and foster relationships with local charity organizations within the Hispanic and Latino community groups.

Promotional Items

Manage ordering, monitoring inventory, and distributing promotional items (i.e., swag) and our printed marketing materials.

Maintain the online ordering website with correct inventory numbers and store all boxes.

Work with VA to source promotional items within budget and on time for events.

Marketing Projects And Campaigns

Collaborate with the Supervisor and Team members on content.

Work within the approved budget for event resources and promotional items.

Work with agencies.

Provide weekly and monthly reporting to the Supervisor.

Requirements

At least five years of professional experience in organizing community and conference events and overseeing all aspects of fulfilling responsibilities as an event sponsor.

Superb oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.

Strong understanding of the Hispanic and Latino culture, traditions, and community priorities.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Available to work at events within the Latin community and other communities and gatherings during occasional evenings and weekends; significant time “in the field.”

Professional experience in using project management software (i.e., Wrike, Asana, Trello) to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Demonstrated work experience in problem‑solving, multi‑tasking, and strategic thinking when it comes to shifting priorities.

Extensive experience using social media platforms to promote work culture, community involvement, and to engage with a business’s followers and the public at large.

A knack for developing trust with different personalities and diverse backgrounds when communicating with both professionals and members of the public.

Bilingual in written and spoken Spanish and English is required.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office setting and works out in the field with the public at events as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Manual dexterity, physical mobility, and some physical strength/stamina.
